We organized with the United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America (UE) in 2016 as part of UE\u2019s growing base of Service Contract Act (SCA) locals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since then, we\u2019ve fought for\u2014and won\u2014average raises of nearly 7% per year, along with major improvements to our Health &amp; Welfare benefits. In 2022, we partnered with our sister local, UE 728 at the Kentucky Consular Center, to negotiate more affordable health plans\u2014designed by us, for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our union is run by the people who work here. Stewards are from the membership and serve as the front line in defending our rights. As a rank-and-file union, UE puts control in the hands of the members\u2014not a staffer or a lawyer, but you and your coworkers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is our union. We build it. We run it.
